SIAM relies on the service and dedication of many of its members who serve as elected leaders or as appointed members of various general committees.

Elected positions are chosen by the SIAM membership at large on an annual or biennial basis by way of a formal election. These positions include: President, Vice President-at-Large, Secretary, Board of Trustees, and SIAM Council.

Committee members are appointed by the elected leadership of SIAM.
