Mentoring Event Sessions
As part of the virtual program, there will be two mentorship sessions (Session I) and (Session II) for graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and career scientists, with a focus on supporting a diverse and inclusive environment. Through breakout discussions, we hope to foster a welcoming atmosphere for meeting other conference attendees. We plan to split participants into groups focused on different topics, such as thriving in academia at various stages, pursuing careers in industry, supporting work-life balance, and navigating academia as a member and/or ally of underrepresented groups. All are welcome to participate, and we hope that this event will build community virtually and facilitate discussions during the conference.
Please indicate if you would like to participate in this event, either as a mentee or a mentor, during the pre-registration process. You will then be provided with a short survey later on that will help us identify topics of interest and assign groups.
