Located in the heart of the Emerald City, Hyatt Regency Seattle is the first and only LEED Gold-Certified hotel in the city. Close to Lake Union and Elliott Bay, and just steps away from dining, shopping, theater, top attractions and both Washington State Convention Center facilities.

Did you know?

Your support in staying at the Hyatt Regency Seattle helps keep the conference costs down, which directly affects your registration fees. SIAM guarantees the hotel that we will fill a certain number of “room nights” (rooms per night) during the conference. SIAM incurs penalties if too many attendees opt to stay in other hotels in the area or neglect to indicate to the hotel that they are with the SIAM conference. At this time, conference costs do not include meeting room rental. If SIAM fails to fill the contracted room block, SIAM is charged the cost for the meeting rooms on a daily basis, along with a hefty penalty. Future registration fees could increase to cover these additional risks.

Reservations

SIAM is holding a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. These rooms are being held on a first-come, first-served basis at the following discounted rates. Please be aware the room block fills quickly, so we suggest you make your hotel and travel plans early.

The group rate is guaranteed until 5:00 p.m. local time on the cutoff date or until the room block is full. If rooms are available after the cutoff date, they will be offered at the best available rate.

Single/Double Room Rate* $199 per night plus 15.7% tax
Government Rate $176 per night plus 15.7% tax
Student Rate $149.25 per night plus 15.7% tax
Student ID must be presented upon check-in. SIAM is able to negotiate a limited number of special student rate rooms. Please book early as these rooms sell out quickly!

Room rates include complimentary internet access.
All rooms based on availability.
All rates are subject to state and local occupancy taxes.
*Additional fees of $25 per person apply to triple and quad occupancy.

In the event that you find a lower room rate, please make the reservation at the lower rate and notify SIAM immediately ([email protected]). By doing this you will receive the lower rate and be counted towards the SIAM room block. However, please be aware by booking outside the SIAM room block at a lower rate, you may not receive the same benefits as rooms reserved in the SIAM room block (i.e. complimentary internet access).

Do not make your reservation online using the hotel’s general website, as this will not allow you to obtain the SIAM group rate. Be sure to use the online reservation link above if making reservations online. Remember to get your confirmation number!

Reservations are not confirmed until acknowledged in writing by the hotel or verified by phone. Be sure to get a confirmation number from the hotel and be prepared to provide that number to the front desk clerk upon check-in at the hotel.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee. You can contact the hotel at 1-877-803-7534 (U.S. and Canada) or +1-206-973-1234. Remember to get a cancellation number!

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Early Departure

The hotel may charge an early departure fee if an attendee checks out prior to the original checkout date.  Attendees are responsible for informing the hotel of reservation changes as soon as possible and should confirm their scheduled departure date when checking into the hotel.

Deposit

The Hyatt Regency Seattle requires a credit card to confirm and guarantee your reservation. The hotel will send out e-mail confirmations upon request.

Health Facilities

Hotel guests will have complimentary use of the fitness center.

Transportation

By Air

SIAM has selected Wings Travel to assist attendees in making travel arrangements. To book your reservations through Wings Travel, contact the Corporate Team at +1-215-628-3322 or toll free (US and Canada) at 800-243-4370 and press one (1) when you hear the recording, or email your requests to [email protected]. Be sure to reference the SIAM conference (SIAM Conference on Parallel Processing for Scientific Computing - PP22). Wings Travel will issue your ticket and email it to you. Please be aware there is a fee for this service.

You also have the choice of using your own travel agent or an Internet service. There are many web sites available to allow you to search for and purchase airline tickets online. Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity are just a few.

Ground Transportation

Public Transportation from Airport

Taxis are available at the airport for transportation to the hotel. Please visit the Hyatt Regency Seattle website and click on “Map, Parking + Transportation” at the bottom of the page to find local directions. SIAM also suggests you contact the hotel directly for any information about sharing transportation. Additional ground transportation information is available on the Sea-Tac Airport website.

By Train

Amtrak has a rail station in Seattle. To make train reservations through Amtrak, call (800) USA-RAIL, go to http://www.amtrak.com or contact Wings Travel. Taxis are available at the train station for transportation to the hotel.

Rental Cars

Many major car rental companies have offices inside the airport terminal. You can make your arrangements when you arrive at the airport or you can make them through Wings Travel or your own travel agent. Wings Travel can make your car rental reservations at the same time you make your flight reservations. See information above regarding how to reach Wings Travel.

Driving Directions

If renting a car, please obtain a map and directions from your rental car company. Another option is to visit Google Maps, or another similar web site. SIAM highly recommends you contact the hotel directly or visit their web site for driving directions.
